So... A lot has happened since the end of last semester:
- We fixed our stands, so they don't need bungees anymore. Muahahaha...
- Emily has been shortening the happi sleeves, so they're more flattering now. :3 We've been thinking of creating more costumes for the group next year.
- Events:
- Kana came over! She tricked us into thinking we were playing a gig for an old couple's anniversary dinner... and yeah, she came instead. (A few photos are at the end of our 2009-2010 photo album.)
- More gigs: Sickle Cell Relay, Jumpstart Gig + Workshop for kiddies, and I-Fest. Upcoming performances include the Luau and our final concert.
- Another joint practice w/ UCR-- they gave us their chu-daiko skinning rig! O__O We just had the joint practice yesterday, along with the budget hearing as well as I-Fest. It was a really crazy day.
- More practices: we practice on Sundays, too. @___@ We're trying to learn more songs for Luau/our final performance.
- Future plans: a joint Taiko and Tap (dancing) performance, workshops with LA Taiko Center's Reverend Tom, and possibly w/ taiko pros from Kinnara or On Ensemble (hopefully).
